Jackson Hole Resort
5 year average: 500+ inches of snow per year! Located in Teton Village, just fifteen minutes from the town of Jackson, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the place to be. World famous for its deep powder and expert terrain, the world's finest skiers find new challenges and ideal conditions here. Two on-mountain restaurants and four more at the base of the mountain cater to the hungry skier and three area bars provide pleasant after-ski entertainment.

Featuring 22 miles of groomed trails. The highest elevation is 10,450 feet above sea level and drops 4139 continual feet to the base. Over seventy amazing slopes, 2500 inbound acres (50% advanced or expert) and thousands more backcountry acres open all season long. Eight lifts, a convenient gondola, and an enormous tram make this resort efficient and exciting. Whether you're an eagerly improving novice or an adrenalin-rush extremist, skiers and snowboarders alike will find themselves breaking new thresholds.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is only twelve miles from the town of Jackson and serviced by the Public Start Bus system which makes regularly scheduled stops throughout the day.

Snow King
Nestled into the foothills of the Gros Ventre mountains, Snow King Ski Area boasts of the steepest lift-fed slopes in the world. Located at the south edge of the Town of Jackson, it is only ½ mile from the town's main shopping and dining district. Snow King is open for both day and night skiing and offers 110 acres of reliable snow conditions fed by one triple and two double chairlifts.

Built in 1939, it is the first ski area in the state of Wyoming and one of the first anywhere in the United States. It offers guided tours of the back country and down the back side of the mountain. Snow King's Great American Ski School is well known for it's personal teaching programs for skiers of all levels. There is also a snowboard park with a halfpipe as well as a tubing park, which provides hours of fun for all ages. In the summer months, take a speed cart down Snow King's Alpine Slide, an adrenalin rush for the whole family.

Grand Targhee
Grand Targhee is located in the Targhee National Forest at 8,000 feet in the high country of the Tetons and it takes an effort to get to. Famous for its elbow room and consistently superb ski snow conditions that produces more than 500 inches of snow a year, Targhee has two mountains to choose from. Fred's Mountain is served by one high-speed detachable quad, one fixed grip quad, one double chair and one Mighty Mite surface tow. It offers 2,200 vertical feet and 1,500 skiable acres. This mountain is predominantly intermediate to advanced intermediate. Peaked Mountain is reserved for snowcat skiing. There are 1,500 acres to ski, 2,800 feet of vertical lift, unsurpassed scenery and snow conditions. New capital improvements for the 1998/99 season include the installation of a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system and the development of Grand Targhee Property Management Company adding additional off-site beds to Targhee's lodging capacity. Targhee also introduces a new snowtubing park at the base of the beginner's area, and an ice skating rink. Targhee's ski school unveils the Buddy Program this year, where guests can earn complimentary lift tickets simply by introducing a new or beginner skier to the resort via a special learn-to-ski package, which include lift ticket, lesson and rentals.
